National Solidarity Against Sexual Exploitation of Women – September Activity Update – 전국연대

Title: National solidarity against sexual exploitation of women – Update of September activities

September is an important month for anti-prostitution activists in Korea. Since the anti-prostitution law came into effect on September 23, 2004, “Prostitution Prevention Week” has been held every year from September 19, during which various organizations across the country conduct anti-prostitution campaigns.

This year, to mark the 20th anniversary of law enforcement, even more events were held. The National Solidarity Against the Sexual Exploitation of Women organized several activities in September, including a forum reviewing two decades of law enforcement, a forum organized by the Moongchi survivor network, the Dandelion Pilgrimage, and a press conference and meeting urging legal changes. As we commemorate twenty years of the law, now is the time to change it so that women are no longer criminalized. National Solidarity will continue our dedicated efforts!
