LGBT Mafia Trying to Put Black-Owned DC Bar Out of Business Over Bipartisan Branding

(Mary Clayton, Head US) A politically themed bar in Washington, D.C., decided to remove its bipartisan logo shortly after opening due to online backlash from leftists.

The political Pattie logo, which used to feature a Republican elephant and a Democratic donkey, now just reads Pattie’s Bar. The establishment’s slogan “Putting the ‘light’ in politics” was also removed from the outside.

The backlash began when the bar was posted on an Instagram meme account, according to the Washingtonpost.

Formerly home to a popular LGBT bar called Dirty Goose, the spot featured a rainbow-covered exterior, causing leftists to take issue with the new nonpartisan signage.

Owners Andrew Benbow and Sydney Bradford, who also happen to be black, were surprised by the outpouring of response their bar received.

“People take sides and entrench themselves on either side and don’t care about the other person’s values,” Benbow said. “They’re not interested in getting to know them.”

The two also stated that they fall on different political aisles, as Benbow is a self-described “moderate Republican” and Bradford is a Democrat.

The couple called the attacks “vicious” in a lengthy Instagram post.

“What happened to Pattie’s online directly resembles what happens in society every day,” they wrote. “Our company was judged by its outward appearance before anyone ever took a chance to find out what we were about on the inside.”

The owners added that they had the “full support” of the owners of the previous bar, and they simply saw that the business was for sale and bought it.

Although the bar’s current signage has removed the word “political,” it’s not going anywhere. The two said it will come back, but in a bigger blueprint to balance the red doors.

Benbow told Axios he wanted the bar to be “a place where anyone of any political persuasion can come and enjoy.”
