Johnson Co. Sheriff Duane Burgess said the success of the sex sting would not be possible without the cooperation of various law enforcement agencies and prosecution teams.

“We continue to act urgently to prevent these individuals from harming children,” Sheriff Burgess said. “Every arrest we make is one less predator in our community, and that is a step toward ensuring the safety of our children.”

Prosecutor Lance Hamner echoed those sentiments in a statement.

“These operations are essential to ending the exploitation of children,” Hamner said. “Our partnership with law enforcement agencies allows us to not only arrest these individuals, but also hold them accountable through the judicial process.”

JCSO ended its announcement by saying local law enforcement is committed to continuing the fight against child predators and said all arrested suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
