Ousted California DA is intro speaker at Kamala Harris’ Arizona Border Event

Presidential candidate Kamala Harris made a 20-minute stop at Arizona’s southern border on Friday before heading to an event.

And apparently a 20-minute photo was enough to impress the sheepheads at the Daily Beast, which ran this headline:

NBC’s headline was just weird: Kamala Harris’ tough migration policy at the border… “Strongly against ‘migration’?”

But it was the bizarre woman who moved across the stage like Tim Walz in a dress and opened for Kamala Harris during her border speech on Friday evening that I couldn’t take my eyes off. Her arms flapped as she bobbed and swayed on stage.

She is none other than former San Joaquin County District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar, who was ousted by voters after eight years of soft policies against criminals and “progressive” antics.

While introducing Harris, Tori Verber Salazer, a Republican and former district attorney in San Joaquin County, California, recalled asking then-AG Harris for help in tackling the transnational drug trade.

“I said, ‘I need help. My province is having a hard time.’ She said, ‘Give me a plan,'” Salazar said. The additional resources and support had a rapid impact on drug seizures and arrests, she said.

“We picked up the guys on the street and we grabbed the king pins,” Salazar said. “I can never thank her enough for what she has done for my community.”

Tori Verber Salazar also spoke at the Democrat National Convention. And it was just as physically bizarre with arms flapping and dancing around the stage. CNN transcript:

She was the person who laid the foundation for the way we do criminal justice in America.

A current DA source messaged the Globe in August during the DNC, saying, “Tori was the elected district attorney and shows up at a rally chanting ‘no justice, no peace’ and they have her at the DNC? “

ABC10 reported in June 2020 that San Joaquin County District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar led demonstrators in the chant of “No justice, no peace” during a protest in Stockton over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Verber Salazar “joined forces with two other prosecutors – Diana Becton of Contra Costa County and Chesa Boudin of San Francisco – and with George Gascón, the former San Francisco district attorney who is now running for top prosecutor in Los Angeles, announcing the formation of a ‘progressive law enforcement association,’” KQED reported in 2020.

She was ousted in 2022 largely because of that alliance and her disastrous “progressive” record.

The National Pulse reported Saturday that Verber Salazar, “who described herself as a Republican when she introduced Harris in Douglas, Arizona, Friday afternoon, has been a Harris donor since at least 2016 and contributes to her Senate election fund. She also actively participated in the nationwide, often violent Black Lives Matter protests in the summer of 2020. There is no evidence that she contributed to Republican candidates.”

(Verber Salazar) Her own record of failure includes a plea deal with businessman Lyle Burgess, who sexually abused a 5-year-old child. Burgess pleaded no contest to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, but Salazar and her team easily let him off, with just 90 days in jail and five years of probation. Stunningly, the plea deal did not require Burgess to register as a sex offender.

Another example is that of Tyrone McAllister, who robbed and beat a man but took a plea deal with Salazar, serving only six months in prison. Two months after his release, McAllister was charged with shooting a man in Oakland, California.

Salazar’s soft approach is also believed to have been responsible for the murder of a child by his own father during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Verber Salazar is one of thirteen current and former prosecutors to be honored Fair and just prosecution (FJP), a left-wing organization founded in 2017 “to train and elevate left-wing elected prosecutors to implement lenient left-progressive approaches to criminal justice.”

Verber Salazar is featured by FJP alongside recalled former San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, Chicago State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, Philadelphia, PA District Attorney Larry Krasner and Baltimore City, MD, former State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.

Tori Verber Salazar is also being investigated for fraud by her replacement, San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas.
