New Delhi: A Delhi police officer was crushed to death after a car hit him following a verbal altercation with a liquor mafia on Saturday evening. Enraged by this, the suspect allegedly hit the officer with his vehicle, seriously injuring him. The incident took place in Nangaloi, Delhi last night. The suspect managed to flee the scene, leaving his car behind. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said the national capital has become lawless.

The police have seized the vehicle involved in the road rage and have launched a manhunt to catch the perpetrator. More details are expected in the case. According to the police, a liquor smuggler Jangla is believed to be behind the incident.

Nangaloi sweet shop is shot down

The incident took place on the same day as the Nangaloi firing incident outside a sweet shop. There was also a shooting incident in Mahipalpur, at a hotel. The police investigation revealed that the hotel owner had received extortion calls for ransom. A day earlier, the first of a series of gun battles was reported from Naraina in a car showroom. The gun battles have left residents of the capital in fear.
