Another tragic and sensational incident of road rage has occurred in the capital Delhi. In this case, a police officer in Nangloi area was brutally murdered by a motorist over a trivial matter. The attackers not only dragged the officer for a considerable distance, but also ran him over with another car. This incident took place late last night. According to Delhi Police, the officer asked the suspects to move their vehicle. In response, they dragged him almost 10 meters before crashing into him with a second car. Following the incident, the driver of the car fled and police are currently searching for him. Media reports indicate that police have seized the car involved in the incident and that the suspects have links to the liquor mafia. Reacting to the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi, former Chief Minister and AAP National President Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday put up a post expressing his concerns. He stated, “The law and order situation in Delhi has collapsed. It is a complete jungle raj. People feel unsafe in the nation’s capital. Law and order situation in Delhi is under the jurisdiction of Amit Shah and immediate action should be taken effective measures are taken to prevent such incidents.” Kejriwal has earlier criticized Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. It is important to note that the Delhi Police operates under the central Ministry of Home Affairs, and not the Delhi government, which has led to ideological differences between the two governments over time.
