Rosalind Fennell is a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer at the Solidarity Center (SC), the largest US-based international workers’ rights organization. Within the Program Quality, Learning and Compliance (PQLC) department, Rosalind supports SC’s global teams as they work directly with employees and their unions to promote dignity in their workplace, justice in their communities, and greater equality in the global economy. A published researcher and evaluator, Rosalind has a dynamic background in international humanitarian affairs, including sectors such as human rights, labor rights, democracy, conflict stabilization, civil society, gender and peacebuilding. Before joining SC, she spent six years in Istanbul, Türkiye, where she was Deputy Head of Programs at RMTeam International, an international development research agency. At RMTeam, Rosalind managed multi-million dollar portfolios of operations in partnership with U.S. and foreign government agencies, multilateral organizations, NGOs and civil society organizations across the MENA region, primarily in Iraq, Northeast Syria and Yemen. In 2018, Rosalind worked with ECPAT International, based in Bangkok, Thailand, writing research on the sexual exploitation of children in Georgia, Uganda and across the Pacific. She also previously led research on the prevention of conflict-related and gender-based violence against women and girls in South Sudan. Rosalind has a BA in Political Science and Black Studies from Amherst College, an MPH in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring and Evaluation from George Washington University, and an LL.M in International Peace Operations, Humanitarian Law and Conflict from the University of Galway . Rosalind is a member of Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) and a participant in the BPIA Colin Powell Leadership Institute. A DC native, Rosalind is also a member of the Washington Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
