“100 People Who Care About Sac County” meeting in October

The “100 People Who Care Sac County” group will meet in person on Sunday, October 13 at 4:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the Early United Methodist Church.

All Sac County residents are welcome to join “100 People Who Care” and are invited to learn more about the philanthropic work of the organization, which launched in October 2016.

The mission of “100 People Who Care Sac County” is to award donations to a charity or non-profit organization serving Sac County. Members nominate potential recipients, and three are chosen at random to make a presentation to the group. Each member or team commits to participating in “100 People Who Care Sac County” for a year, donating $100 to the charity or nonprofit organization chosen by the group during the events held annually held on the second Sunday of January, April, July and October. Members can be individuals or teams, and there is one vote per $100 donation. Three nominated charities/non-profits will make presentations on October 13, after which a vote of the members will take place, with the highest vote-getter receiving the donations from the members/teams.
