Cillian Murphy in ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie – World of Reel

Apparently Netflix’s ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie is called ‘Immortal Man’. We’ve got our first look at Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby – seen above.

Filming is underway and Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth and Rebecca Ferguson are joining the cast. Tom Harper (“The Aeronauts”) has been confirmed as director. He previously directed the second half of the first season of ‘Peaky Blinders’.

Set in 1919, in the aftermath of the Great War, ‘Peaky Blinders’ tackles criminal gangs fighting for survival in a country rocked by economic turmoil. The show focuses on one of the most powerful gangs of the time, Peaky Blinders, run by returning war hero Thomas Shelby and his family.

No plot details have been revealed, but Knight is rumored to have set the film in the middle of World War II, a time when England was ravaged by German bombing. Expect a 2025 release for ‘Immortal Man’.
