Sexual exploitation trial against former West Fargo executive has been postponed

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – The trial of a former West Fargo elementary school principal has been postponed until next year.

David George faces four federal charges, including distribution of images depicting the sexual exploitation of children and transportation of a minor.

His trial was scheduled to begin Oct. 8, but according to court documents, counsel requested that the investigation continue, review discovery and prepare for trial. The trial will now begin on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Among the witnesses expected to testify is a 10-year-old boy whom George is accused of taking to South Dakota, where he was attacked.

The former principal of Independence Elementary and the assistant principal of Cheney Middle School were arrested in August 2023 and charged with possession of child pornography.
