Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a faith-based humanitarian relief and development organization working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Founded in 1984, with an active presence in more than 45 countries, we strive to make the world a better and fairer place for those affected by poverty, conflict and natural disasters. In Britain, IRW has a partner whose main role is to raise funds, raise awareness, conduct advocacy and support domestic programmes: this partner is called Islamic Relief UK (IRUK).

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Digital Partnerships Coordinator’ on a full-time, permanent basis, based in the Waterloo Office in London. The organization currently uses a hybrid working model.

The purpose of the role is to maintain existing and develop new partnerships with social media influencers and digital publishers, to increase the reach of Islamic Relief UK’s messaging and campaigns, as part of Islamic’s wider influencer program Relief UK.

Raising money for Islamic Relief’s lifesaving programs by leveraging new and existing digital partnerships.

The successful candidate must possess:

  • Demonstrated experience implementing digital engagement and social media campaigns to garner support for a cause
  • Understanding the key technology-driven changes and trends impacting the online media and advertising industry
  • Experience creating compelling proposals, pitch documents and/or presentations to attract new partnerships or sponsorships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Managing influencer marketing campaigns and/or campaigns with digital/social media publishers
  • Recruiting high-profile individuals and/or social media influencers to support marketing campaigns
  • Developing digital content aimed at the British Muslim community
  • Experience with live video production and using live video to create engagement and deliver interesting and/or urgent messages to supporters and potential supporters
  • Relationship and stakeholder management
  • Negotiate and influence, both internally and externally
  • Understanding charity/third sector marketing
  • Be able to give presentations and sell new ideas at board level.
