Teen program director at Murray Boys and Girls Club charged with child abuse

The teen program director at the Murray Boys and Girls Club has been charged with multiple counts of child sexual abuse.

Patrick Robert Baker, 25, sent a message via the internet and texting apps to someone he thought was a 5-year-old boy.

Police said Baker asked the victim to perform sex acts on him.

A prearranged location was set up, where Baker was arrested by police after attempting to flee.

As an individual who works at a Boys and Girls Club, Baker “has access to children and poses a risk to children in the public,” according to court documents.

Police said Baker admitted to having child pornography on his phone.

Baker is charged with sodomy of a child, enticement of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.

It was unclear if the reported 5-year-old boy Baker was messaging was an undercover officer.
