‘Ultrachef claimed Zanetti warned him of police investigation’ – General News

A May 2023 wiretapped conversation between Inter ultra captain Marco Ferdico and former Inter Milan defender Marco Materazzi revealed that Ferdico, one of 19 people arrested on Monday as part of an anti-mafia investigation into ‘clans’ of supporters of Serie A clubs AC Milan and Inter reportedly learned from former captain Javier Zanetti that police were investigating “ultra” leaders, according to court documents released on Tuesday.

In the conversation, which was included in the court documents filed by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Preliminary Investigation Judge (GIP) who issued 19 arrest warrants as part of the investigation, Ferdico claimed that he had heard about the investigation from Zanetti , who had told him it was related to the police investigation into the 2022 murder of historic ultra chief Vittorio Boiocchi.

The circumstance of the leak “will certainly be investigated,” according to the court papers.

Milan police and financial police arrested 19 ‘ultra’ football executives early on Monday on charges of criminal conspiracy “aggravated by mafia-like methods”, assault and extortion, accused, among other things, of forming cartels that manage football-related companies, according to to researchers.

Top ultra leaders, including suspects linked to the Calabrian crime syndicate ‘Ndrangheta, are accused of controlling business activities at Milan’s Meazza Stadium, such as ticket fraud, liquor and souvenir stalls and parking lot protection fraud.

Investigators also believe they managed bodyguard services for celebrities and organized attacks on their behalf.

Ferdico had a very close relationship with Antonio Bellocco, a member of the ‘Ndrangheta crime syndicate, who was allegedly murdered on September 4 by Andrea Beretta, who is also a leader of Inter’s fans and is currently being held on murder charges.

Meanwhile, investigative sources said on Tuesday that 34-year-old Milanese rapper Emis Killa, whose real name is Emiliano Rudolf Giambelli, was searched as part of the police operation in Milan that led to the 19 arrests on Monday.

Killa is not under investigation, but his name appeared in the lawsuits along with those of other celebrities, including rapper Fedez or Federico Lucia, over his relationship with Milan’s ultra-chief Luca Lucci, who was among the suspects charged on Monday arrested.
