Repeat offender in Wisconsin sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted sexual exploitation of a child

(WFRV) – The United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Gregory J. Haanstad, announced Monday that a 41-year-old man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted sexual exploitation of a child.

Court records show that David Fuchs, formerly of Janesville, initiated conversations with an undercover Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office officer, posing online as a 12-year-old girl.

Fuchs reportedly described his desire to have sex with the “child,” sending numerous explicit images and requesting them in return. He explained that he was going to teach the girl how to have sex, and then planned to meet her at a plaza near Madison.

On March 15, he arrived intending to meet a 12-year-old girl, but was arrested by the United States Marshals Service. Court records also showed that the same undercover officer spoke to Fuchs using a different undercover identity. He also spoke to other undercover officers posing as underage girls.
