<p>Princess Madeleine and Queen Silvia of Sweden made a mother-daughter visit to New York City for one of their closest causes: World Childhood Foundation USA.</p>
<p>Last week, the Queen of Sweden, 80, and her youngest daughter, 42, spent several days in New York to promote the work of the organization founded by the Queen, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary year. Queen Silvia founded the World Childhood Foundation in 1999 as a pioneering non-profit organization in the global fight against child sexual exploitation and abuse, and Princess Madeleine is also deeply involved. </p>
<p>During their visit to New York City (where Princess Madeleine lived and met her husband Christopher O’Neill), the royal mother and daughter attended an intimate dinner at the Swedish residence on September 25, hosted by the Consul General of Sweden. to New York City, HE Ambassador Erik Ullenhag, to commemorate the foundation’s historic anniversary. </p>
<p>World Childhood has invested in more than 1,300 initiatives, projects and grassroots groups around the world to date, making the world a safer place for thousands of children in the mission to end sexual abuse, exploitation and violence against children.</p>

“We are not ready until every child can grow up safely, free from sexual abuse and exploitation,” the royal family wrote.
