Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of sexual misconduct by 120 people, says lawyer | Crime news

An attorney has claimed he represents 120 people who have made sexual abuse allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Houston attorney Tony Buzbee said Tuesday he expected lawsuits to be filed in New York and Los Angeles within the next month.

He said the victims included 60 men and 60 women, and 25 were minors at the time of the alleged misconduct. He added that one of the individuals claimed he was only nine years old at the time of his attack.

“This type of sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation should never happen in the United States or anywhere else,” Buzbee said at a news conference. “This should never have gone on for so long. This behavior has left a multitude of individuals hurt, scared and scarred.”

After the announcement in Texas, Combs’ attorney Erica Wolff said the artist “cannot address every baseless accusation in what has become a reckless media circus.”

“That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors, as false and defamatory,” Wolff added.

“He looks forward to proving his innocence and defending himself in court, where the truth will be determined on the basis of evidence, not speculation.”

Some cases were passed on to the FBI

Buzbee said more than 3,280 individuals had contacted his company claiming they had been attacked by Combs in various ways.

After vetting the allegations, Buzbee explained that his firm had decided to represent 120 people.

Other cases are still under investigation. He said some of his clients have spoken to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The individuals Buzbee’s firm represents come from more than 25 states, with the majority from California, New York, Georgia and Florida.

The alleged abuse occurred mainly at parties in New York, California and Florida, where individuals were served drinks laced with drugs, Buzbee said.

Other examples reportedly occurred during auditions where “often — especially young people, people who wanted to break into the industry — were coerced into this type of behavior in the promise of becoming a star,” Buzbee said.

‘Wall of silence has now been broken’

Last month, Combs, 54, was arrested at a New York City hotel after a grand jury indicted him on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The charges against him were initially sealed, but the fourteen-page indictment was eventually released on September 17, when Combs pleaded not guilty in a federal court in New York City.

One of hip-hop’s best-known music managers, producers and artists, Combs has won three Grammys and has collaborated with artists across the musical spectrum.

“The biggest secret in the entertainment industry, which wasn’t actually a secret at all, has finally been revealed to the world,” Buzbee said Tuesday. “The wall of silence has now been broken.”

Buzbee also represented women who accused National Football League (NFL) quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual assault and misconduct.

The attorney said he planned to identify more suspects, “other than Sean Combs.”

“The names we are going to mention, assuming our investigators confirm and corroborate what we have been told, are names that will shock you,” he added.

‘I am not only talking about the cowardly, but also about the complicit bystanders. That is, the people we know saw this behavior happening and did nothing.”
