Saryu protests to cover up his failures: Dr. Ajoy Kumar

Jamshedpur: Former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar launched a scathing attack on MLA Saryu Roy, accusing him of protesting merely to cover up his failures in the last five years. In a press statement released on Tuesday, Dr Ajoy said Saryu has suddenly fueled Roy’s concerns over the delays in the district administration’s development work after remaining silent for half a decade.

“Lying and cheating are old habits of Saryu Roy,” claimed Dr. Ajoy, while further accusing the MLA of shifting the blame on the district administration to divert public attention. He pointed out that the Moharda water supply scheme, which has been facing problems, is managed by Tata Steel Utility Infrastructure Service Limited (TSUISL), formerly known as Jusco. “Instead of holding TSUISL accountable for providing clean water, Saryu Roy is wrongly blaming the district administration,” said Dr. Ajoy.

Dr. Ajoy also criticized Saryu Roy for failing to address basic infrastructural issues during his tenure. He stressed that the road from Jemco to South Gate, which is the responsibility of TSUISL, has not been repaired for five years. “This is his report,” noted Dr. Ajoy, highlighting the inaction of the MLA. Furthermore, Dr. criticized Ajoy Roy for not taking a stand against the land mafia, saying, “In all these years, Saryu Roy has not once raised his voice against the land mafia.”

The allegations have fueled the ongoing political rivalry, with both leaders preparing for the upcoming elections where development and governance will be key issues.
