“Mindfulness can break noses.” Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for an interesting new German dark comedy series called Murder with attentionoriginally named Achtsam Morden in German. In 8 episodes, the story of a lawyer who struggles with a burnout while turning his life completely upside down unfolds in a light-hearted manner and with a great sense of absurdity, so that neither his mafia clients nor anything else can upset him . Tom Schilling stars as Björn, a powerful mafia lawyer, whose respite he takes in a mindfulness class to ease his stressful life. But as he explores the art of relaxation, he stumbles upon a dark method to find inner peace: one that involves murder. The series’ main cast also features Emily Cox, Murathan Muslu, Britta Hammelstein, Peter Jordan, Pamuk Pilavci, Johannes Allmayer, Sascha Geršak, Marc HosemannAnd Luca Maric. Björn Diemel (Tom Schilling), a top lawyer, unexpectedly becomes a murderer: with a mindfulness seminar he tries to create a better balance between work and private life, spend more time with his daughter and – hopefully – save his marriage. And the seminar does what it promised – albeit not in the way he imagined. He applies his newly learned mindfulness techniques directly to his client Dragan Sergowicz (Sascha Geršak) – a brutal and careless mafia boss – and both the police and the entire mafia clan are hot on his trail. Despite the tense situation, Björn is able to keep a cool head and completely reorganize his life. And if it now takes a few murders to solve his problems, that’s just a natural consequence of his new, conscious change in life.
