Hazaribagh, Oct 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Parivartan Yatra at Hazaribagh’s Gandhi Maidan, on Wednesday called on the people of Jharkhand to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming assembly elections to bring “roti, beti, and maati ” (livelihood, daughters and land).

“The BJP guarantees protection of these three essentials – roti, beti and maati – if we form the government. Today marks the beginning of a new dawn for Jharkhand,” Modi said.

Launching a scathing attack on the alliance between Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), he said, “The Hemant-led government is hampering the progress of the state. This government has only betrayed and exploited the natural resources of Jharkhand.”

“This government has exploited water, forests and land. Jharkhand can only make progress if this government is ousted. The BJP’s Parivartan Yatra is more than a political movement; it is a Sankalp Yatra to fulfill the dreams of Jharkhand’s people,” Modi added.

Attacking the RJD, Modi said, “The RJD never wanted Jharkhand to exist. The RJD always wanted to loot the state and was supported by the Congress.”

Modi also stated that the JMM is not the same as it once was. “The JMM has forgotten its purpose. It fought for Jharkhand and for the upliftment of its people, but now it has forgotten everything under the influence of the Congress and the RJD.”

Modi further targeted the JMM for its infiltration into Bangladesh and said, “Bhagwan Birsa Munda and other tribal leaders laid down their lives for independence. The JMM-led government is trying to change the demography of the state because of its votes. A current example is Santhal Pargana, where the tribal and Hindu population is declining rapidly.”

The Prime Minister also accused the government of being a ‘paper-leaking mafia’. “This government is playing with the lives of thousands of young people by leaking papers. All the money raised will be distributed to the top,” Modi added.
