Seven arrested in Roopangarh firing incident; Land mafia attacks community | Jaipur News

Ajmer: Police arrested seven more suspects in the shooting and shooting case here on Thursday arson on September 22 in Roopangarh town Ajmer district. They include three suspects for whom police have announced a reward of Rs 50,000 each. So far, twenty suspects have been arrested and two minors arrested in the case, which concerns a group land mafia attacking another with guns and weapons, resulting in one death and several injuries. The attackers also set fire to a JCB and other vehicles at the scene.
Ajmer SP Vandita Rana told the media on Thursday that the three suspects for whom IG of Ajmer Range, Omprakash, had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 each were 38-year-old Rajveer Singh Jat, resident of Gandhi Nagar in Kishangarh; Pukhraj Jat, 22, and Naresh Jat, 30, both residents of Bandrasindri village. The other accused arrested are Vikas Jat, 28, from Roopangarh, Deependra Jat, 20, from Dudu, Vijendra Jat, 20, from Kishangarh, and Ramniwas Jat, 20, from Roopangarh. The district police had arrested three suspects the day after the incident and another 10 were arrested on September 27.
The incident had shocked the residents of Roopangarh town as there was open firing and fighting at the main market. The police had appealed to the public not to follow the criminals on social media and warned that action would be taken against such followers. The police had also warned those who provided shelter to the suspects in the case.
