Teacher arrested for alleged sexual abuse and online exploitation of underage students

Misamis Oriental, a teacher in Balingasag, has been arrested for allegedly abusing his minor students and trading their photos and videos online.

Police were able to arrest a 43-year-old male teacher

Police obtained a search warrant and rescued six youths – four boys and two girls – from the 43-year-old suspect’s home on Thursday, according to a State of the Nation report by Cyril Chavez.

They also found sensitive photos and videos of the victims, and equipment used to film them.

According to the investigation, the suspect would ask his students and former students to visit his home, where he would harass the victims and take explicit photos and videos.

“Nagkakaroon ng sexual activities with these minor victims. I don’t think the suspect can get more than P300 to P500,” said PNP-WCPC Police Lt. Col. Mario Baquiran.

“Etong Suspek Natin is very influential, so make sure you cannot make a page report and you cannot stay in Ganito Nga… after a while in your country,” he added.
