Latham woman to serve 15 years for sexual exploitation of a child

Kristy Lynne Koldis, 46, of Latham, was sentenced Thursday to 180 months (15 years) in prison and 15 years of supervised release for sexual exploitation of a child.

United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Matthew Scarpino, Special Agent in Charge of the Buffalo Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), made the announcement.

In previously pleading guilty, Koldis admitted to creating sexually explicit content depicting the lewd and lascivious exhibition of a child’s genitals from the time the child was approximately 9 years old until the time the child was approximately 13 years old old, and distributed the files to Joshua White. , who pleaded guilty on December 13, 2023 to distribution and possession of child pornography. His sentencing is currently scheduled for December 12, 2024.

United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino also imposed special assessments totaling more than $55,000 and ordered Koldis to pay $5,000 in restitution. Koldis will have to register as a sex offender upon her release from prison.

Homeland Security Investigations and the New York State Police investigated this case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael D. Gadarian as part of Project Safe Childhood.
