General message description:

PIN is looking for an experienced Remote QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of applications that meet the needs of humanitarian work. Your primary responsibility is to design, implement and maintain comprehensive test plans. You will work closely with the product manager, tech lead, support coordinator, software developers and other QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing and executing test plans and test cases for various applications.
  • Identify, record and document bugs and issues thoroughly.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure application quality.
  • Ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues.
  • Review and analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to define testing strategies.
  • Continually improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure high quality software.
  • Provide regular reports on test progress, results and defect tracking.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
  • Advocate for best practices in quality assurance and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

Skills and Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
  • Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Proficiency in testing web applications and APIs (REST, SOAP).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and test environments.
  • Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of automation scripting languages ​​(Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Full working proficiency in English.
