Democratic Senate candidate Ruben Gallego responded to shocking allegations tying him to drug cartels of rival political Kari Lake. The congressman, who is heavily leading in the polls by margins ranging from 4 to 14 percentage points, called Lake a “pathetic loser.”

The right-wing rabble-rouser has a reputation as a sore loser. Lake rose to prominence in the Republican Party while supporting false claims that Donald Trump was robbed of Arizona’s electoral votes following widespread voter fraud in 2020.
