Police arrest notorious land mafia Zakir Hussain after six months on the run

GUWAHATI: Law enforcement authorities have made a major breakthrough in making arrests Zakir Hussainan infamous one land mafia kingpin who has been on the run for the past six months.

The fugitive was nabbed by the Guwahati Crime Branch during a night operation in Guwahati’s Garchuk area for his involvement in illegally annexing land using forged documents.

Hussain was involved in numerous cases of land fraud, which made him the main target when he appeared before the police “Most Wanted” list.

The mafia operated by systematically robbing property from multiple individuals by creating false property documents.
