Delhi police officer mowed to death by liquor mafia

In a recent road rage incident in Delhi, a policeman was hit and dragged for ten kilometers for asking a man, allegedly a liquor mafia, to slow down his Wagon R. This made the latter angry, so he hit the Delhi cop with his car. which seriously injured him in Nangaloi last night. The incident happened when Constable Sandeep was driving towards Railways Road and saw a WagonR car driving recklessly. When he tried to stop the driver, the suspect became angry and deliberately ran over the officer. Sandeep, who was on his motorcycle at the time, later died from the head injuries he sustained in the incident.

Sandeep was on duty when this happened, having just left Nangaloi police station. He was dressed in civilian clothes as part of efforts to tackle rising burglaries in the area. CCTV footage shows Sandeep driving into a narrow street and signaling the WagonR to slow down. However, the driver suddenly accelerated, hitting his bicycle and dragging him for about 10 meters before crashing into another parked car. The injuries he sustained led to his death.
