NTPRADAO condemns alleged sexual exploitation by church leader

The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organization (NTPRADAO) has condemned the alleged heinous sexual exploitation of minors (boys) by former senior pastor of Father’s House Church, Robert Kikon.

“The outrageous public exposure has utterly baffled and shocked the entire Naga community into disbelief for its unprecedented acts if it is true and it appeals to everyone in the state to stand hand in hand with the exploited victims and their families. The severity has had psychological and emotional consequences on the collective public life of the Naga,” the NTPRADAO said today.

“The NTPRADAO also recognizes the fact that the victim will need caring and loving guidance and a lot of spiritual/emotional support. They will suffer from PTSD, plus shame, guilt and other traumatic disorders for many years to come,” the report said.

The organization expressed its appreciation to the Child Welfare Committee of the Ministry of Social Welfare, which seriously investigated the case and even filed an FIR with the consent of the victim. It also commended the Dimapur Police Commissioner and his team for providing prompt police support wherever required.

“Finally, the NTPRADAO as an intellectual platform hereby appeals to the citizens of Nagaland to make unwarranted and controversial statements in this most sensitive case so that an impartial police investigation can proceed so that the law of the land takes proper legal course will be taken to bring the guilty person to justice, if he actually judges so. We must remember that no one is found guilty unless formally proven in court,” the organization further appealed.
