NTPRADAO condemns sexual exploitation of minors by pastor

Dimapur, October 6: The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organization (NTPRADAO) has condemned the alleged heinous sexual exploitation of minors (boys) by the then senior pastor of Father’s House Church Robert Kikon.
“The outrageous public exposure has utterly baffled and shocked the entire Naga community into disbelief for its unprecedented acts if it is true and it appeals to everyone in the state to stand hand in hand with the exploited victims and their families. The severity has had psychological and emotional consequences on the collective public life of the Naga,” the report said.
The NTPRADAO appreciated the Child Welfare Committee of the Social Welfare Department for seriously investigating the matter to the extent that an FIR was lodged with the consent of the victim and commended the Dimapur Police Commissioner and his team for providing prompt police support wherever required.
The NTPRADAO further appealed to the citizens of Nagaland not to make unjustified and controversial statements in the case that an impartial police investigation would be continued so that the law of the land will take the right legal course to bring the culprit to justice to bring justice.
“We must remember that no one is found guilty unless formally proven in court,” the report said.
