Latham woman sentenced to 15 years in prison after child sexual exploitation case

Kristy Lynne Koldis, 46, of Latham was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison and 15 years of supervised release for sexual exploitation of a child, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office Northern District of NY.

After pleading guilty, they say Koldis admitted to creating sexually explicit content of the child from the time the child was 9 to 13 years old, and distributing the content to another person whose sentencing is scheduled for 12 December.

United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino imposed special assessments on Koldis totaling more than $55,000 and ordered her to pay $5,000 in restitution.

They add that Koldis will have to register as a sex offender upon her release from prison.
