During a performance at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, the singer played the hits you’d expect: Starboy, blinding lights, save your tears, take my breath, I feel it coming, can’t feel my face – and then some, also premiering new songs to his devoted audience in Melbourne. For The Weeknd’s first night at Marvel Stadium (Saturday, October 5), fans were treated to tour debuts of songs from the singer’s upcoming album, Hurry up tomorrow.

Including tour debut The crowd, wake me up, too late (used as an intermezzo in Take my breath), São Paulo, timeless, repeat after me (Intermezzo), Normal, take me back to LAAnd Dancing in the flames. The following evening, The Weeknd shared the tour debut of Run away, also from Hurry up tomorrow.

In addition to the hits and new songs, The Weeknd also played three covers on the 32-song setlist, which were Crawling (Metro Boomin cover), In heaven (Lady In The Radiator Song) Through Peter Ivers And David LynchAnd Moth To A Flame (Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd cover). At the time of publication, no release date has been announced for The Weeknd’s upcoming album.

According to a press release Hurry up tomorrow “represents the creative peak of the project and serves as the third and final chapter (after the 2020s) After hours and 2022 Dawn FM) created with existential and self-referential themes, as seen in the latest visionary teasers that have fans on fire for this final installment.”
