Cold front cools temperatures, Milton strengthens in the Gulf

Here at home our forecasts remain very quiet. A cold front will move through the region on Sunday and temperatures will be cooler, around 80 degrees.

Locally increased fire danger will be possible this afternoon, especially north of I-70 for our grass and agricultural areas due to gusty winds and low relative humidity.

On Monday it feels like we’re expecting this in the fall. Highs in the low 70s with full sun.

Our overnight and early morning temperatures will also be cold in the 40s and low 50s for much of the week. Afternoon high temperatures will gradually warm throughout the week.

Tropical Storm Milton:

Milton is still a tropical storm, but is expected to rapidly intensify as it moves across the Gulf of Mexico. It will be at or near major hurricane strength when it reaches the west coast of the Florida peninsula midweek.
