JD Vance blames migrant children for Georgia’s education problem

illegal alien democratRepublican vice presidential candidate JD Vance blamed migrant children for contributing to the challenges facing Georgia’s public education system during a rally in Lindale, Georgia, on Friday.

Speaking to supporters, Vance linked the state’s education issues to the large number of undocumented immigrants and their children enrolled in public schools.

“There are more than 400,000 illegal aliens in the state. About 120,000 Georgian students are children of illegal aliens,” Vance said at the event. “Think of the impact on education for Georgian children when you add in the more than 120,000 children, many of whom do not speak English.”

He attributed these challenges to the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies, which he said have worsened the situation by allowing uncontrolled migration into the country. (cut)

“I feel sorry for these innocent children; I’m not mad at them for coming to this country. “Our frustration is with Kamala Harris for allowing the Mexican drug cartels to continue the drug and sex trade,” he said.

How dare JD point out that schools in Georgia have problems because all those migrant children don’t speak English, have little to no education and don’t understand the culture! How rude!

An American education: Classrooms reshaped by record migrant arrivals

Dana Smith had been teaching first grade in public school in the small Pennsylvania town of Charleroi for more than sixteen years when she faced a new challenge last year: a sharp increase in the number of students from Haiti who did not speak English.

She started using a phone app to translate lessons, but the constant pauses for translation frustrated her. She wondered whether she was hindering the learning of American students who knew some of the basics she was assessing, a complaint voiced by a vocal segment of parents in the district.

“It was very stressful,” she said. “We never know when new ones will come in, what their level is, how adapted they are to this culture. The unexpected.”

According to immigration court data collected by Syracuse University, more than half a million school-age migrant children have arrived in the U.S. since 2022, exacerbating overcrowding in some classrooms; worsening teacher and budget shortages; forcing teachers to grapple with language barriers and stoking social tensions in places unaccustomed to educating immigrant students.

Hey. I don’t think Reuters is being so mean when it points out that all these migrant children let in by Biden-Harris are causing a whole host of problems.

If someone wants to immigrate to America and go through the citizenship process, they are required to speak English. They must be self-sufficient. If someone wants to come to America on a work or student visa, they must obtain it and speak and write English. They cannot use government benefits. But if someone just wants to show up at the border and apply for asylum, which 90% of them don’t qualify for, the Biden-Harris administrator will simply take them and dump them in cities across the country, and they don’t care if that means many problems for schoolchildren, whose education is interrupted.
