The Muslim Youth League (MYL) on October 7 (Monday) took out a march to the district police chief’s office here to protest against the “criminal Raj and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) connections” and the alleged anti-political actions of the Chief Minister. -Malappuram Notes.

Hundreds took part in the march organized by the MYL district committee. Inaugurating the march, PMA Salam, general secretary of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), alleged that the Home Ministry had become a camp of mafia groups.

The protesters demanded that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should resign as he had disgraced his position by supporting the RSS agenda of trafficking Malappuram district and its people.

Police stopped the march using barricades and used water cannons to disperse the protesters as they tried to break the cordon.

MYL district president Shareef Kuttoor chaired the meeting and general secretary Mustafa Abdul Latheef welcomed the meeting. The protesters raised slogans against a group of police officers accusing them of defaming Malappuram district by increasing the number of cases.

IUML district secretaries Noushad Mannissery and Anvar Mullampara, national organizing secretary of Youth League TP Ashrafali, CK Shakir, national president of Muslim Students Federation Ahamed Saju, state president PK Navas and treasurer of Youth League Bava Visappadi spoke.

Meanwhile, the State Committee of IUML has decided to organize state-wide protests on October 17 against the alleged mafia connections of the LDF government. Protest marches will take place in all district centers. Mr Salam said the Chief Minister had protected ADGP-MR Ajit Kumar despite many protests against his alleged RSS links and the rancor within the ruling front. He accused the chief minister, former minister KT Jaleel, and CPI(M) state secretary MV Govindan of continuously trying to alienate Malappuram.
