Nebraska District | Omaha man convicted of methamphetamine conspiracy

United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced that Randall Lee Duncan, age 64, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced in federal court in Omaha on October 3, 2024 for his participation in a methamphetamine drug conspiracy. Chief United States District Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. sentenced Duncan to 96 months in prison. There is no parole in the federal system. Following Duncan’s release from prison, he will serve a three-year term of supervised release. Duncan also agreed to the forfeiture of his 2014 Ford F-250 King Ranch Super Duty Crew Cab pickup, which was used to facilitate the drug conspiracy.

As part of a lengthy investigation into a known source of supply (SOS) operating out of Mexico, the DEA has begun investigating several related meth distributors operating in the Omaha metro area. One of the local distributors was identified as Randall Duncan.

Beginning on August 17, 2022, Duncan arranged with the SOS to purchase meth for distribution, and DEA oversaw Duncan’s meeting with another known distributor working for the SOS. After the meeting, Duncan sent a message to the SOS complaining about the quality of the meth he had received. Duncan sent a text message with a photo of a bag of meth. The police obtained the photo.

In April 2023, police used a confidential source to purchase a pound of meth from Duncan. Law enforcement officers eventually searched Duncan’s residence and found an additional seven pounds of meth.

This operation was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts and dismantles top drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs and

transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States by using a prosecutor-led, multi-agency approach that leverages the strengths of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Omaha Police Department and the Bellevue Police Department.
