The Karnataka Minister urged the BJP to take action against the POSCO-accused ex-CM

Bangalore: While welcoming the decision of the Centre’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to award the national award to choreographer Jani Master, an accused under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012, to be suspended, said Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Tuesday sought expulsion of former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa from the Central Parliamentary Council of BJP for being arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sleuths in July this year ) has been charged in the POSCO case.

At a press conference in Bengaluru, Gundu Rao wanted to know from the BJP leaders: “Why has no action against Yediyurappa been initiated yet?”

He said, “If action has been taken in the Jani Master case, why not against Yediyurappa, who is also facing a similar charge (POSCO)?”

Accusing the BJP leaders of having double standards, Gundu Rao termed it unfortunate that the BJP leaders have taken lightly the case of a victim in the POSCO case against Yediyurappa and stated, “Until all charges against Yediyurappa are acquitted, leaders should remove him from all current posts. held in the party?”

He questioned the stand of BJP leaders when it came to issues faced by women and pointed out the statements of the BJP leaders who charged that “BJP top leaders have succumbed to Yediyurappa’s pressure and have not taken any action against him undertaken.”

Gundu Rao was referring to the rape charge against BJP MLA Munirathna and also to the alleged sexual exploitation of women by former Lok Sabha member of Janata Dal Secular (JDS) Prajwal Revanna, in which BJP leaders have not made their stand clear.
