Gingrich: Kamala Harris is the first Doofus nominated for president

FOX News contributor and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich called Vice President Kamala Harris a “doofus” and someone who cannot move with the speed and knowledge you would expect in an interview with Sean Hannity on Tuesday.

SEAN HANNITY: What’s your analysis? NEWT GINGRICH: Well, look, she’s got three really big problems. First of all, she’s just not very competent. I mean, you’re looking at someone who should be in a high school play, and she’s on national television as a candidate. She just can’t move with the speed and knowledge you expect. Second, we live in a dangerous world. It’s dangerous with hurricanes. It’s dangerous with the war in the Middle East. It’s dangerous in Ukraine. It is dangerous when Venezuelan criminal gangs come to the US. And in those kinds of dangerous environments, people want someone who is strong. For example, I thought that if you compare his press conference to her normal experience, DeSantis looks like he’s competent. He looks like he knows what he’s doing. And so her entire being hurts her. And third, she has a huge crisis. Everything its base believes in, the country hates. And so it must be for men, who compete with women, for example. The country is absolutely against that. She cannot be in favor of school choice. The teachers unions won’t allow her. And you go into a whole bunch of trouble. So she does this dance because if she’s really clear, two things will happen. The country will wipe her out or her base will revolt. And so she can never be honest about who she is. These three things all come together in what I think may be the most disastrous TV series ever created by a presidential candidate. SEAN HANNITY: If Donald Trump said at every appearance that some of you may not like me, but I will secure the border, I will fix the economy and I will make the world a safer place, I think that would resonate find. Am I wrong? NEWT GINGRICH: No, you’re right, but he didn’t have to say the first part. I mean, just relax. The country is going to make a decision. You know, they don’t ask him to go out on a date. They ask him to become commander-in-chief. They ask him to become president. They ask him to solve problems. The fact that he might not be the guy… Personally, I think it would be nice to have him come on one night, but he might not be the guy some people want tonight. But they’ll definitely prefer him keeping them safe to her just being a total… She’s a loser. I mean, this is the first doofus nominated for president, at least in my lifetime, and that’s the best way to understand it.
