Indictment Alleges Cedars-Sinai Covered Up OB/GYN’s ‘Serial Sexual Exploitation’

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is facing allegations of a “generations-long history of covering up” an obstetrician/gynecologist sued by more than 30 former patients in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The lawsuit claims that Dr. Barry J. Brock, an obstetrician and gynecologist for more than 40 years who practiced medicine at Cedars-Sinai and other high-profile medical institutions in Beverly Hills, where he was accused of sexual assault, battery and harassment. said a press release from the law firms Arias Sanguinetti and The DiPietro Law Firm.

Reportedly labeled ‘Brock the Butcher’ by medical staff for insisting on traumatic procedures, the doctor, according to the press release, is accused of:

Other medical centers named in the lawsuit include Beverly Hills OB/GYN and Rodeo Drive’s Women’s Health Center.

Attorneys added that the complaint names Cedars-Sinai for its history of covering up Brock’s “serious sexual exploitation.”

In a statement to KTLA, a Cedars-Sinai spokesperson said:

Dr. Brock is no longer licensed to practice medicine at Cedars-Sinai, and we have reported this matter to the California Medical Board.
