Diddy vows to ‘submit’ to strict Fed protocols if given third attempt at freedom: ‘The truth will be determined

Sean Diddy Combs is making a third bid to appeal his pretrial release after spending weeks at the Metropolitan Detention Center without bail. The disgraced rapper made global headlines last month after his arrest in New York City in connection with his sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Despite pleading “not guilty” on all counts, the presiding judge ordered his detention without bail at MDC. So far, the Southern District of New York has rejected attempts by Diddy’s legal team to appeal the bail decision, but the mogul isn’t giving up freedom just yet.

Diddy’s legal team recently filed a third appeal to secure his freedom on bail pending trial. The bid for pretrial release, filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, cited legal errors in the court’s ruling. His team also claimed that prosecutors did not have enough evidence to justify his arrest. They are now calling for the rapper’s immediate release, under appropriate bail conditions.

According to court documents obtained by TMZthe rapper’s legal team has rejected claims that he poses a significant flight risk. They also determined that it was about the rapper “No threat to the community” contrary to prosecutors’ claims and the media campaign. To prove his willingness to cooperate with authorities, his legal team has increased the proposed bail package with stricter conditions.

In addition to the proposed $50 million bail secured by his Miami mansion and his mother’s home, Diddy is willing to subject himself to a handful of necessary protocols and restrictions that address concerns about tampering with his evidence, witness intimidation and drug use. In his final plea for freedom, Sean Diddy Combs vowed to submit to a weekly drug test and not contact known grand jury witnesses. Six months earlier, federal agents raided his homes in Florida and Miami, seizing several items that could be introduced into evidence at his trial, including ammunition, several containers of baby oil, lube and narcotics. Diddy will remain in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center pending trial unless his legal team manages to secure bail for him in advance.
