A man facing more than two dozen counts of child sexual exploitation in Lyon County will return to court next month for a hearing.

The preliminary hearing in the case against Adam David Chestnut, 51 years old from America, took place on Tuesday. As part of the hearing, Judge Jeff Larson has scheduled a status conference for Nov. 6. Judge Larson also modified the bond conditions at the defense’s request, expanding the original conditions of a GPS monitor and guidelines not to leave Lyon County and surrender passports, including monitoring any device that can connect to the Internet and do not access inappropriate websites. .

The bond amount remains $150,000.

Charges were filed in July after Chestnut allegedly had “visual depictions” of at least one child under the age of 18 engaged in sexually explicit conduct, with the alleged activity spanning from December 2023 to last January.
