National Crime Agency, UK, delegation meets CTTC chief

DHAKA, October 9, 2024 (BSS) – A delegation of national law enforcement
United Kingdom (UK) agency, National Crime Agency (NCA) today paid a
courtesy visit to fight against terrorism and transnational crime in Bangladesh
(CTTC) Chief Masud Karim at his office here.

The meeting took place in the context of the continuation of existing cooperation on
strengthening the capacity of actions against terrorism, according to a police press release
edition.

The NCA and UK team expressed their desire to continue granting the CTTC
personnel with specialized training to improve their work efficiency
terrorism and international crimes, the release said.

During the meeting, they also emphasized on the need for CTTC staff to be modern
training in cybercrime, cross-border crime and money laundering.

The NCA, UK and NTTC have expressed their wish to continue the collaboration
collaboration to that end, the release said.

NCA is the UK’s leading agency against organized crime; man, weapon and medicine
human trafficking; cybercrime; and economic crime spanning regional and
international borders, but it can be tasked to investigate any crime.

Although the CTTC is charged with investigating cybercrime, cyber
patrolling, weapons, ammunition, explosives and narcotics, organized and
transnational crimes.
