The French Ambassador to the Dominican Republic meets with the President of DNCD





Santo Domingo.- The newly appointed French Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Her Excellency Sonia Barbry, met with Vice Admiral José M. Cabrera Ulloa, Head of the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD), to promote joint efforts to combat drug trafficking and cross-border crime to discuss.

During their meeting, both officials emphasized the importance of continued cooperation agreements to tackle drug trafficking and related crimes. They also committed to strengthening the Caribbean Program in Support of the Fight against Organized Crime (ALCORCA), a French-led initiative.

Vice Admiral Cabrera Ulloa emphasized that the ALCORCA program has successfully trained 1,400 officers in interdiction and intelligence operations, significantly increasing the operational capacity of Dominican law enforcement. The Dominican Republic reiterated its commitment to maintaining strong relations with France and other allies in the ongoing fight against organized crime in the region.
