A Chattanooga man posed as a child on Instagram to solicit videos from children

A 32-year-old Chattanooga man posed as a young boy and girl to convince children that age to send him explicit videos, according to a police statement.

Officers arrested Michael Ray Buckley on Wednesday.

According to a police statement we obtained, agents here learned about Buckley from the FBI.

Chattanooga investigators submitted information about Buckley’s Meta Instagram account.

The affidavit states that these documents revealed “multiple images and videos of CSAM (child sexual abuse material).” It goes further,

It appears that Mr. Buckley has posed as an 11-year-old boy, a 13-year-old boy, and a 13-year-old girl and is recruiting underage African-American women to send him videos of themselves. requests. He then sends the videos to other people online and when they pay him for the videos, he pays the minors via Cash App and PayPal.

The report says a minor Buckley “primarily” talked to was only 10 years old.

It also says Buckley sent an image of a minor from whom he obtained CSAM, pretending it was him.

Buckley created a total of 10 social media accounts, the report said.

After his arrest and after being read his Miranda rights, the affidavit says Buckley “admitted that the redacted Instagram account, Cash App account, PayPal account and Telegram accounts were all his.

..he admitted receiving videos from the 10-year-old woman and said he had received similar videos from a “handful” of other women around the same age.

Buckley is now charged with twelve counts of electronically soliciting the sexual exploitation of a minor, eleven counts of particularly aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and one count of aggravated sexual exploitation for the images he sent via Telegram.
