Cher Cosenza on How Her Real-Life PI Experience Led to a New Action Role (Exclusive)

Cher Cosenza is an award-winning actress who has worked with a diverse mix of Hollywood, amassing credits in films such as Death in Texas, The wild wedding, What’s happening in VegasAnd Zoolander.

On the small screen she plays the leading role The sopranos, iCarlyAnd The Carrie Diaries. Cosenza has also been featured on billboards in Times Square and at top designers’ walking fashion week, and has appeared in GQ, Maxim, Psychology Today and Cosmo Magazine.

Earlier this month we caught up with the actor and model to discuss her role alongside Tom Welling and Cam Gigandet in Scott Windhauser’s Mafia wars.

“Tom clearly already comes from such a large background on the screen”, Cosenza tells us about her experiences with the former Superman in the video below. “Even though I’ve been working since I was ten, maybe eight, it gets to a point where, as you’re making these films, you’re working with people who you realize are having their own adventures and putting them on the screen. Everyone has their own format of acting.”

“We were very lucky (because) Tom and I have a lot of the same kind of motives with our acting. We really felt combined and one from the beginning. It was great to work with him. First of all I will tell you this. He is a great guy. When you work with great people it’s very easy to enjoy it.

She added: “In terms of our screen time together, we have a very complex relationship… it was really fun to experience the atmosphere of not knowing where we were going to go with our characters as we grew into the roles together and to see how we At the end, we really felt each other’s vibes.”

Cosenza would go on to tell us how her real-life experiences shaped how she approached playing Spinx, a character who seems like one thing at first, but is sure to surprise you in the end as the story progresses.

“I basically went undercover as a decoy. I did things like catch cheaters, go on field trips where I had to be a different person, and I’m literally a certified PI,” reveals the actor. “It’s something I’ve always kept in my back pocket. The idea of ​​playing a part in something I did in real life was just remarkable, I couldn’t say no to this.”

“My character as Spinx is very layered, as you know. I guess I have to call her a bit of a chameleon (laughs) and being a chameleon we obviously know what that means. She won’t be what you expect!”
