Inzaghi admits he requested Champions League final tickets for Inter ultras

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has admitted to investigators that he requested extra tickets for the 2023 Champions League final for ultras with the Curva Nord.

This was reported by the Italian news agency ANSA, via FCInterNews. They report on what the Nerazzurri coach said to prosecutors when questioned in the ongoing investigation into the Inter and AC Milan echoes.

Yesterday, Inter coach Inzaghi spoke to anti-mafia prosecutors as part of an investigation into Inter and Milan ultras.

The investigation concerns alleged illegal activities of the Inter Ultras group Curva Nord and its Milan counterparts Curva Sud.

One of the most important aspects of the allegations concerns the purchase and sale of match tickets.

And in the case of a certain high-profile match, Inter’s coach has admitted that the echoes went through him to make their requests.

One of the key figures at the Nord under investigation is Marco Ferdico.

Ferdico is one of the most talked-about leading figures within the Nord.

Prosecutors allege that Ferdico used his influence to engage in illegal activities. They also claim ties to the mafia.

And according to ANSA, Inter coach Inzaghi told investigators he spoke to yesterday that Ferdico had called him directly shortly before the 2023 Champions League final.

Inter faced Manchester City in that season’s final in Istanbul.

Inzaghi told investigators that Ferdico had asked him to try to get more tickets for that ultras match with the Nord.

And according to ANSA, the Inter coach told investigators that he had passed on this request to the club on behalf of the Nord.

Inzaghi told investigators that it was his wish to have Inter fans attend the match in Istanbul.

Meanwhile, investigators also asked Inzaghi if he knew murdered ultras leader Antonio Bellocco.

The Inter coach told investigators that he did not know Bellocco. He had only heard of the former leader of the ultras when he heard the news that he had been murdered by fellow Inter fan Andrea Beretta.

And Inzaghi told investigators he had heard of Beretta before the murder. However, he had never had personal contact with Beretta.
