Cañon City man arrested for alleged possession of child sexual abuse material

(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) – The Cañon City Police Department (CCPD) said a man has been arrested for possession of child pornography after a two-year investigation.

According to CCPD, 27-year-old Geoffrey Vickers was arrested in Larimer County on October 2. The arrest is the result of an investigation that began in July 2022. CCPD said detectives were able to link Vickers to approximately 300 GB of child sexual abuse data.

According to a software system used in other jurisdictions for eDiscovery and litigation consultant digitalwarroom.com, the amount of data recovered would be the equivalent of 4,650,000 printed images.

Vickers faces 104 counts of sexual exploitation of a child (more than 20 items), a class three felony.
