Canon City man arrested for possession of child pornography – Canon City Daily Record

A Cañon City man involved in recovering digital data corresponding to more than 4 million printed images of child pornography has been arrested after a two-year investigation.

Geoffrey Vickers, 27, was arrested in Larimer County on October 2 and taken to the Fremont County Detention Center on Wednesday.

According to Cañon City police, the arrest is the culmination of an investigation that began in July 2022. Through various investigative methods, detectives linked Vickers to approximately 300 GB of child sexual abuse data.

According to digitalwarroom.com, a software system used by other jurisdictions and eDiscovery consultants, the amount of digital data recovered in this case would be equivalent to 4,650,000 printed images or 19,500,000 Microsoft Word documents.

Vickers faces 104 counts of sexual exploitation of a child (more than 20 items), each a Class 3 felony.
