Troy man accused of possessing child sex abuse images

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – New York State Police have reported the arrest of a Troy man following a sex crimes investigation. Alexander Hope, 24, faces multiple charges.

Hope is accused of possessing and distributing images depicting the sexual exploitation of a child. An investigation conducted by state police, the Department of Homeland Security and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce resulted in his arrest on October 9.

Hope was charged with promoting a sexual performance of a child and possessing a sexual performance of a child. He was arraigned in Troy District Court before being released on his own recognizance.
