Albuquerque police arrest a suspected sexual predator wanted in Wyoming

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A suspected sexual predator wanted on charges in Wyoming was arrested in Albuquerque Thursday morning, according to Albuquerque police.

APD detectives received an alert from law enforcement in Wyoming that Jacob Anthony Wilbur was in Albuquerque. He was arrested during a traffic stop on 39 felony charges in Wyoming, APD said.

These charges include 22 counts of sexual abuse of a minor, 14 counts of sexual exploitation of children, two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor and one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

APD said there was a gun in Wilbur’s vehicle and his hotel room. He was booked into the Metro Detention Center today.
