The third season of Declassified follows missions to take on America’s greatest threats, including war criminals, Russian spies, drug cartels, a Russian arms dealer, and hackers.

Part 7: Hunting for War Criminals

After a mass genocide took place during the Bosnian War, the US and NATO, along with the Joint Special Operations Command, are leading an international effort to track down one of the world’s most notorious war criminals.

Before 9/11, Bosnia was the most active deployment such special operations units could provide. The American-led intelligence operation, codenamed Amber Star, included special forces, intelligence and law enforcement officials from five countries. Its goal was the capture and extradition for trial of Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic, the wartime political and military leaders, both accused of war criminals.
