Photos: Rondo Days Returns to St. Paul Neighborhood

Rondo Days returned to St. Paul for the first time since the pandemic on Saturday, with a pair of legendary rappers — MC Lyte and Rakim — as headliners.

It took place at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center in St. Paul. The free event also included food, vendors, a children’s area and other activities.

The festival was founded more than 40 years ago to honor the close-knit, historically black Rondo neighborhood, which was bulldozed in the 1960s to make way for Interstate 94.
